The “thyme” is coming for the Herbs and Spices Workshop at the Daniels Farmstead! Infuse your Sunday afternoon with the leaves of green, roots and seeds that give flavor to our palettes.
The Herbs and Spices Workshop will take place alongside the Daniels Farmstead Farmers Market on Sunday, August 2, 2026 from 11 AM – 3 PM.
Shop Small Business and Local Produce
Exploring all the local businesses is a must-do during a trip to the farmstead. The Daniels Farmstead property will be lined with numerous vendors selling a variety of products. From healthy snacks to handcrafted goods, all-natural care products and jewelry – there’s options for all interests at the market!
Don’t forget to pick up some of your groceries while you shop – the produce you can find at the farm is as fresh as it comes! Willy’s Way Farm has some of the tastiest sweet corn you can find – make sure to stock up for a delicious summer side. Pranaveda Farm grows their produce right at the Daniels Farmstead, they also have a beautiful supply of sunflowers you can light up your home with. Tillfree Farm and Services practices regenerative, no-till farming, with an emphasis on protecting our ecosystem, and Stone Meadow Hand Grown Produce’s artisan produce and fresh-cut flowers is always sure to delight.
Herbs and Spices are a “Big Dill”
All natural herbs can make some incredible things! Our featured herb vendor, Thrivewell Hub, is bringing a variety of products rooted in their 5 Pillars of Return: Ground, Cleanse, Protect, Nourish, and Align. As an apothecary, they carry a curated collection of ritual roots, pillar-based essentials, apparel, and soulful goods. From aromatherapeutic mists to chamomile, body products and room spray, Thrivewell’s products are sourced from small businesses, artisans, and women-owned makers.
“Leaf” a Better Chef
For the first time at the Daniels Farmstead, at 2 PM, there will be a cooking tutorial on how to better use herbs in your kitchen! Participants will be able to listen and learn from an experienced cook from Galliford’s Restaurant and Tavern about how different herbs can elevate your homemade meals. This is an exciting opportunity to leave the farm with more knowledge on how to make your dishes a little more tasty, aromatic, and fresh!
Premium Coffee
Andisol Origins will be joining the Daniels Farmstead Farmers Market for the first time. If you’re a coffee lover, their brews are a must-try. “Andisols” means “volcanic soils,” and their coffee beans are grown in the mineral-rich andisols of Guatemala. They trade directly with small-scale, generational farmers in the region, preserving its unique flavor and supporting their vital work. They will have beans to purchase and take home, and will be brewing on-site as well.
Treats for Sweet Teeth
If you’ve never had a doughnut from Rocco’s Doughnut Company, this is your chance to seize the opportunity. Their menu mixes classic yeast-raised and cake doughnuts with creative toppings and seasonal specials, and they’re massive. From classics like Boston Creams and strawberry icing doughnuts, to specialty flavors like maple bacon and fruity pebbles, their products will satisfy even your most sweetest tooth!
Made-to-order ice cream will be available at T.C. Scoops – make sure to load up their premium toppings and make the dessert of your dreams!
Indulge and Sit Back
Summer fare will be cooked up at Doris’ Grill, prepared by Galliford’s Restaurant and Tavern. Burgers, hot dogs, and more will complete a summer afternoon in the fresh air! Catch some of your favorite songs performed by David Penza from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM, you won’t want to miss it!
Don’t Miss the Festivities
There’s no cost to enter, although food and vendor purchases are sold separately and directly support our local vendors. While not required, parking donations are appreciated and go directly towards preservation and development of the Daniels Farmstead property.
You and the Herbs and Spices Workshop are “mint” to be – get ready for a great afternoon of fun, flavor, and history on Sunday, August 2!
