For the first time – the Daniels Farmstead will host Art on the Farm! If you’re an art lover, a history buff, or simply a friend of the community looking to support small local businesses, this event is sure to color your summer afternoon.
Art on the Farm will take place on Sunday, July 19, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., alongside the weekly Daniels Farmstead Farmers Market.
The property will be painted with over a dozen local art and craft vendors, all showcasing their unique work for you to shop. Whether you like hand-painted goods, fiber arts, or beautiful photo prints, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. In addition to our art vendors, shop seasonal produce, fresh treats from food vendors, and other amazing local products.
We’ll also have two artists, Diane Mayer from Artful Dodger Ceramics and Painting Studio, and Roxanne Jackson from Jackson’s Creative doing live art and demonstrations. Make sure to take time to watch them work their magic!
For the history lovers – explore the historic Daniels Farmhouse. From antique furniture to vintage art, instruments, and Early American architecture, stepping into the farmhouse takes you into the life of those in the 18th century. The old Cider Mill will also be open for visitors to explore and discover how apples were once hand-pressed into cider. Both structures are the focus of ongoing preservation efforts. In addition to shopping and exploring, indulge in summer fare from Doris’ grill, prepared by Galliford’s Restaurant & Tavern, while listening to live classic rock favorites by Matt Brodeur.
There is no cost for admission to the Farmstead and Farmers Market, though food and vendor purchases are sold separately. While not required, parking donations are greatly appreciated and help support the preservation and care of the historic property and grounds.
